Former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight sued Kanye West after getting shot in the leg during a 2005 party that the rapper was hosting, but it's now dead in its tracks. A federal judge in Miami dismissed the lawsuit yesterday, which Knight plans to appeal.

Knight originally filed suit against West for $1 million in damages after blaming him for lax security at the Miami Beach party event, which took place at the swanky Shore Club hotel. The judge concluded that there was insufficient evidence in the case, which West's attorney Adam Josephs echoed and stated that the suit was ill-conceived from the start.

During the 2005 party, attended by celebs including Jessica Alba and Paris Hilton, six shots rang out in the packed nightclub. A bullet struck Knight in the leg, shattering his femur and causing him to lose a diamond ring in the mayhem. Knight sued West and the club owners for "failing to provide adequate security" as well as cover his medical expenses.
