Fresh off the birth of his first child with songstress Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz has jumped on the song-per-week bandwagon by taking one of the last unclaimed weekdays. Swizz has been part of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays, producing the leaked tracks 'Lord Lord Lord' and 'So Appalled,' and now he's doing it on his own. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to "Monster Mondays."

The bigwig producer, clearly inspired by his extensive work with West on his G.O.O.D. Fridays, kicked things off this morning with the bouncy, horn-heavy 'DJ Play the Beat.' The track features Estelle and some trademark club beat work from Swizz. West himself broke the news for the super-producer via his red hot Twitter account this morning.

"Yo my brother @therealswizz is dropping new music every Monday," he wrote. "Monster Mondays!!!"

To kick-off the new series, Swizz has also introduced a savvy-looking website called 'Basquiat Music' -- an odd reference to the influential neoexpressionist painter who would probably never listen to Swizz Beatz.

Either way, the series should serve as a good reference point for upcoming tracks on 'Haute Living' -- the producer's second solo LP and first effort after leaving Universal Motown for Everest Entertainment and Atlantic Records. The album still hasn't received a release date, although Swizzy promised it would drop by the end of the year last summer. Features for that record that could easily pop-up during 'Monster Mondays' include Mary J. Blige, Drake, Coldplay, T.I. and Jay-Z.
