Jay-Z and Coldplay's Chris Martin have a long, documented friendship. They have performed numerous times with one another, with Martin recently showing up at Jay-Z's Yankee Stadium concert. Now, they'll headline a double-bill performance on New Year's Eve in Sin City.

The multi-million dollar offer corresponds with the grand opening of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The invite-only event will see Jay and Coldplay perform their respective sets before joining forces to treat the crowd to collaborations from their collective oeuvre. And while Jiggaman will be hard at work at the hotel and casino on the last day of the year, his bride Beyonce is finding any means to spend the holiday with her man.

"Organizers have spent millions securing the acts," a source told the New York Post. "The word is that Beyonce is now looking for a Vegas New Year's gig so she will be in town with Jay."

Jay and Chris's relationship extends back to 2006, when the two first recorded the Dr. Dre-produced track 'Beach Chair' that appeared on Hov's 'Kingdom Come' album. Since then, they've recorded the additional tracks 'Lost+' and 'Most Kingz,' where DJ Green Lantern paired an old Jay-Z freestyle with Martin's vocals.
