MTV has announced that teenage crooner Justin Bieber and genre-bending rapper B.o.B will be joining Kanye West and Drake as performers at the 2010 Video Music Awards.

Both B.o.B and Bieber have enjoyed fairytale years. In addition to releasing a No.1 album and starring in his own Adidas sneaker commercial, Bobby Ray is up for five VMA nominations including Video of the Year and Best Male Video, while Bieber scored a platinum-selling No.1 album and is nominated for Best New Artist.

"I'm excited to be performing at the VMAs. It is all still unbelievable, because last year I went for the first time and no one knew who I was," Bieber exclaimed. "Just really shows that dreams can come true and what incredible, dedicated fans I have. I'm a lucky guy and grateful. Now I just want to get on that stage, have some fun in front of my heroes, because at the end of the day I'm still a kid and still a fan."

"I'm just gonna wear rocket boots the whole night. And nothing else ... Buck naked, rocket boots. That's how I roll," B.o.B joked of his VMA outfit, before getting serious about the honor of performing on the same night as his fellow hip-hop stars, Kanye and Drake.

"It's very special to me," B.o.B humbly continued. "I think it's a lot more special than the success of the singles, because this reflects the work I've put in over the years and the word of mouth I've helped create ... It's definitely amazing. I'm trying to find the words to explain it, but I can't. It's inexplicable. I'm a real simple man, so, you know, I accept every gift with generosity and gratitude." Other presenters include Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz and Ne-Yo.

The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on September 12 at 9PM.
