While the public patiently awaits the release of Dr. Dre's 'Detox' album, the super producer is being sued for unpaid studio time. In a lawsuit filed Friday (July 23) in a Los Angeles County Superior Court, Paramount Recording Studio is seeking $1,220,500 from Dre for breach of contract.

The suit alleges that Dre, born Andre Young, rented out rooms at the Los Angeles recording studio but failed to pay for them. The Grammy winner and his label, Aftermath Entertainment, were sent several invoices that were never taken care of. After promising and then failing to pay his bill by July 13, the studio swiftly sought legal action.

Although Dre has yet to respond to the lawsuit, chances are he has the money to pay down his debt a few times over. Aside from his successful music ventures, the Compton native also pushes his Beats by Dre headphones, and signed an endorsement deal with Hewlett Packard to remaster and promote their HP Envy 15 laptop. In 2008, 'Forbes' magazine estimated his net worth at $15 million.
