The "beef" between Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj appears to be going full steam ahead, as Drake has just inserted himself into the drama. During a dual performance of 'BedRock' at Connecticut radio station Hot 93.7's Hot Jam 9 over the weekend, Drake took it upon himself to proclaim his Young Money counterpart the best femcee in the game. "I know you be calling women b----es and s---, but I can't do that because I respect you and I love you too much," he began. "So I just wanna say that you the baddest woman to ever do this rap s---. I don't give a f--- what Lil' Kim or nobody else talkin' about. You the baddest chick to ever do this s---. Remember I said that!" And with those words, Drake skipped off the stage before turning back one more time to embrace Minaj.

Kim and Minaj have been firing subliminal shots at each other for a good week now, ever since the Brooklyn, New York native ended a performance by throwing off her platinum blonde wig -- similarly to those that Minaj has been rocking -- and announcing that she was moving on. Although both are taking part in the alleged beef, Kim seems to be the one spearheading whatever issues they have. However, despite her comments during her performances, Kim claims to have no real problem with Minaj, but rather wants a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

"All females that come in the game, we all need to stick together," Kim told Philadelphia radio personality Kendra G. "... All I ask for is respect and I show you the same respect back. Pay homage, at the end of the day ... If you're gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style at least pay the respect and the homage, don't try to act like you created this and just try to disrespect me. Everybody knows that she be busting shots, or people be busting shots, period. At the end of the day, I'mma do what I do."

Minaj's look and career seem to run parallel to Kim's at the height of her popularity during the late '90s. Like Kim, Minaj is known to rock colorful wigs, and is the lone female in a male crew headed by one of hip-hop's biggest names, Lil Wayne. Kim was brought on the scene by way of former boyfriend, the Notorious B.I.G. She not only appeared with the legendary emcee on several tracks but was the standout member in the all-male Junior Mafia.

Only time will tell if the beef will actually grow legs, but for now it's providing Kim with a nice chunk of publicity as she is rumored to be prepping a new album for Jay-Z's Roc Nation.
