TrinaMiami rapper Trina is turning the recent theft of her cell phone into a federal matter. She told MTV News that her phone -- which contained several personal pictures, including nude images -- was stolen from her at October's BET Hip-Hop Awards. She explained that the culprit made an attempt to scheme her out of money for the return of her phone, before distributing her nude photos on the Internet. Instead of giving in to the demands for money, Trina says she's taken the matter to the FBI.

"[The images are] me on a very upset day -- I think I was in Canada, upset crying," she said. "Just personal stuff. Photos in the studio. I think [one] was me having an allergic reaction, breaking out. I just think it was my personal stuff and for someone to do that is so, so wrong. So now I'm actually having it looked into by the FBI and it's gonna be a bigger situation than just leaked photos. Hopefully we can deal with the situation and put an end to it."

Trina explained that most of the photos on the phone included normal snaps from parties and the photo of the rash was taken and then forwarded to her doctor. She said that some of the nude photos that have been leaked to the Internet were fabricated, in an attempt to draw more attention to the scandal. Trina is just the latest in a series of female celebrities who have found themselves in a similar predicament. Rihanna and Cassie are two of the most recent victims of nude photo scandals.

Trina talks about her loss after the jump.
