T.I. joins TwitterBy all accounts, "The King" is officially back. Fresh off a year in the pen for some nasty weapons charges, T.I. is reentering the public eye. He just verified a Twitter account and the rapper's first tweet hinted that some big news is on its way.

"Major announcement coming Monday 3/8 @ 5PM EST on www.trapmuzik.com #kingsback," he said.

While the specific announcement is unknown, it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume that a new album is on the way. Apparently titled 'King Muzik,' Jason Geter, Tip's manager, recently revealed that T.I. has already worked on new tracks with DJ Toomp and Lil Cee, one of the in-house Grand Hustle producers. Features thus far include The-Dream and Trey Songz, but we can expect many more to be added to the list for the rapper's grand return.

T.I.'s Twitter account should also be a novel new way to connect to fans. The artist formerly held an anti-technology line, claiming to be "old fashioned."

"I'm not a computer guy, don't do it," Tip told ATL Hustlers in a video last year. "I'm old school. Eh man, it's not my style, not my swag. I'm an old fashioned type of dude, I'll write you a letter and hand 'em to some pigeons and let 'em fly to you. Put a letter in the box and let it float to your side of the country. I ain't on the computer s---, that ain't me...Not for me, not for me. No offense to those that do it, Twit on playa. People got 'The King' baby, just not on Twitter."
