Following the July birth of Nas and Kelis' first child together, Knight Jones, a judge ruled that the Queensbridge rapper would be responsible for paying his ex-wife $44,000 in monthly child and spousal support in addition to her medical and legal expenses.

Now, less than a month later, Kelis has filed new court documents with the help of her celebrity divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser requesting that Nas cough up more cash. The 'Milkshake' singer claims that her ex-husband pulls in an estimated $244,826 a month, while she only earns $13,744 a month, which should entitle her to more monetary compensation.

The breakdown of Kelis' new financial requests are as follows: $17,225.00 a month in child support, $72,728.00 in spousal support, $29,522.00 in retro child support and $281,571 in retro spousal support, for a grand total of $401,076.00, which would be paid in addition to her current $44,000 stipend.

The previous July ruling in the child support case will not be reviewed until September, at which point a judge will decide if Nas will have to up his ante in both child and spousal support. The former couple have been fighting it out in court since their April split, when Kelis cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce.
