Talk about being "put on blast." Rick Ross is being called out by Louis Vuitton's lawyer for wearing a pair of counterfeit sunglasses on the cover of XXL magazine. According to XXL, the french luxury line's attorney sent a letter to the editors concerning the May 2009 cover.

"We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks," Louis Vuitton Malletier's Michael D. Pantalony writes in the letter. Adding that "the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks."

The news of Ross' faux counterfeit shades comes at a bad time for the rapper. Not only is Ross currently engaged in an ongoing battle with 50 Cent, but the rapper recently boasted about his "frame game" in a recent interview. The Miami Boss listed Louis Vuitton as his favorite brand, noting "those are the only mainstream frames I really like. I love the gold trim."

This isn't the first time Ross has been exposed. Last year, The Smoking Gun released documents that proved the rapper, who boasts about his life as a big time cocaine dealer, was a correctional officer in a Florida prison facility prior to signing a record, not Tony Montana.

Ross' latest album, 'Deeper Than Rap,' is in stores now.
